Istanbul Police Traffic Control Teams initiated an investigation after footage of drivers making dangerous maneuvers in a wedding convoy on the D100 highway was shared on social media. Following the investigation, K.K, N.S.K, Y.H.K, B.S, A.U, T.K, A.S, H.K. and O.T. were arrested for endangering other vehicles on the road.

These individuals were fined a total of 24,840 Turkish Lira for offenses such as “sudden slowing down on highways”, “not maintaining a safe following distance”, “stopping in prohibited areas”, and “disrespectful driving”. Additionally, legal proceedings were initiated against them for endangering traffic safety.

The Istanbul Police Traffic Control Teams emphasized the importance of obeying traffic rules and regulations to ensure the safety of all road users. They stated that reckless driving behavior will not be tolerated and those who violate traffic laws will face consequences.

The arrests and fines issued to the individuals involved in the wedding convoy serve as a warning to others who engage in dangerous driving practices.
