Tyler Campanella, the stepson of Sigalit ‘Siggy’ Flicker, a former Real Housewives of New Jersey star, was arrested on five misdemeanor charges in connection with the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. Campanella was taken into custody in New York City, over three years after the violent incident aimed at overturning President Joe Biden’s victory over Donald Trump. Flicker had posted social media photos of Campanella, expressing her support for the group protesting the election results, with hashtags such as #StoptheSteal.

Campanella’s phone was located inside the U.S. Capitol during the attacks, based on FBI investigations. His phone records were subpoenaed, revealing that the phone was associated with Bayside Chrysler, where Campanella worked in the sales department. The FBI also noted that footage from inside the Capitol seemed to show Campanella entering then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s suite and the room where her laptop was taken. Flicker has been a vocal supporter of Trump, describing herself as an ‘Israeli/American Patriot’ on her Instagram page, and showing images of her posing with Trump and other prominent figures in his circle.

While there is no evidence confirming that Flicker was at the Capitol during the attacks, she has publicly supported Trump and posted pictures with political allies such as Rudy Giuliani, Roseanne Barr, and Alina Habba. In response to allegations connecting her to the Capitol incident, Flicker denied being in Washington D.C. during that time frame in a video posted on Instagram, dismissing the claims as fake news. She urged her followers not to believe everything that was being circulated and noted that she had been in Florida since early December.

Following the attack, more than 1,387 individuals have faced charges related to the January 6 events, with 984 convictions so far. Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, 15 individuals linked to the attack remain in custody as they await their trials. The majority of suspects involved in the Capitol incident have either admitted to charges against them or have been found guilty in court. With the upcoming presidential election rematch between Biden and Trump, scheduled for six months after the attack, the repercussions of the January 6 incident continue to linger, with individuals facing potential consequences for their actions.

In response to the charges against Campanella, Flicker has not publicly commented on the situation. The involvement of her stepson in the Capitol incident sheds light on the broader implications of individuals linked to high-profile public figures facing legal ramifications for their actions. Flicker’s social media presence, which includes images aligning herself with Trump and his associates, has drawn attention to her political affiliations. As legal proceedings unfold and as more individuals face consequences for their involvement in the Capitol attack, the broader public remains engaged in discussions addressing the aftermath of this significant event in recent U.S. history.
