In Sivas, a donkey was rescued after being abandoned and tied to a tree due to tumoral structures on its body, left hungry and thirsty in the rain. HAYTAP Sivas Representative Özge Nihan Çubukçu went to the area and arranged for the donkey to be transferred to the retired animal farm facility in Osmaniye for treatment. The donkey, exhausted from the long journey, has started receiving care and treatment.

HAYTAP Secretary General Veterinarian Ali Laçinbala stated that the donkey is in a very uncomfortable condition due to the tumoral structures, constantly feeling the urge to scratch and itch. This has led to continued bleeding. He mentioned that the donkey was very surprised after the long journey as it never expected to be in such a paradise-like environment. They are trying to boost its morale by bringing in some greens. As soon as it recovers, it will undergo an operation at the treatment center in Osmaniye. Laçinbala assured that the donkey is in good hands.

Laçinbala also expressed gratitude for the collaboration with HAYTAP and a specialized motor vehicle company, which has enabled hundreds of animals to receive treatment. Through a treatment and feeding protocol, many animals in earthquake-stricken areas will receive medical care and sustenance. The donkey, named Kadife, is very surprised as it is receiving the care and attention it never had before. Laçinbala emphasized the importance of support and how they are striving to give unknown animals a second chance at life by paying the costs that no one else would.

Overall, the rescue and treatment of the abandoned donkey in Sivas highlights the ongoing efforts of organizations like HAYTAP to help animals in need. The donkey’s situation serves as a reminder of the importance of compassion and care for all living beings, especially those in vulnerable situations. The collaboration between HAYTAP and a motor vehicle company showcases the positive impact of partnerships in advancing animal welfare. Through their work, many animals, including the donkey named Kadife, have the opportunity to receive the care and treatment they deserve. The story of Kadife also sheds light on the resilience and adaptability of animals, as the donkey perseveres despite the challenges it has faced.
