Police officers responded to a report of vehicles’ tires being slashed with a knife and punctured on Hacı Süleyman Street in Kaptanpaşa Mahallesi. Upon arrival, they examined the scene and found that the tires of 11 parked vehicles had been damaged by a knife and punctured.

After inspecting the security cameras in the area, the police were able to identify the person responsible for slashing the tires. They are currently conducting a search to apprehend the suspect. It is unclear at this time what the motive behind the vandalism was.

Ramazan Gülmez, one of the victims whose car tires were punctured, stated that his vehicle had been scratched with a key about a month prior to this incident. Expressing his frustration, he said, “They have now punctured the tires of people’s cars. This is an intentional act, a pity for the citizens. I cannot currently say who did it but the culprit is likely someone from this neighborhood. It may be because they are parking on the sidewalk.”

Another victim, Eren Arslan, who has lived in the neighborhood for 20 years, mentioned that he had never encountered any issues before. When he received a call from a child playing outside in the morning informing him that his tire had been punctured, he initially thought it was a prank. However, upon inspection, he realized that not only his car but several others had been targeted with 2 or 3 tires slashed.

Arslan emphasized that he had not quarreled with anyone in the neighborhood and that he is still in disbelief about the incident. The residents in the area are concerned about their safety and the security of their vehicles, as this type of vandalism has not been a common occurrence in the peaceful neighborhood before. The police are continuing their investigation to apprehend the perpetrator and ensure the safety of the residents in Kaptanpaşa Mahallesi.
