Alan Carr has confirmed to MailOnline that he is single again after splitting from his toyboy boyfriend Callum Heslop. The comedian had dated the 27-year-old hairdresser for a whirlwind two months before jokingly stating that he was now in the market for a ‘chunky rugby player’ or a ‘chubby chaser’ with ‘low self-esteem’. Alan discussed his type, saying he likes rugby boys who are big and chunky everywhere. He also mentioned that he was not currently using dating sites and was taking it easy in the dating scene at the moment.

During an event at the Gielgud Theatre in London, Alan also revealed details about his upcoming projects. He confirmed that his sitcom Changing Ends would be returning to ITV on April 16 and that he would be filming a new series of the Italian Job with Amanda Holden. Alan stated that he and Amanda would be renovating a home in Italy, even though he admitted to still struggling with the language after three years. He expressed his excitement for these projects and mentioned his hopes for his chat show Chatty Man to make a comeback.

Alan’s ex-boyfriend Callum Heslop is a celebrity hairdresser and colour specialist who owns a salon in Cheshire. The pair had been seen together on various outings and had even gone Instagram official. Alan confirmed to MailOnline that he no longer wears his wedding ring from his previous marriage to Paul Drayton, despite being seen wearing it after they separated. He joked about wearing a different type of ring now. He also mentioned taking part in Dry January and staying alcohol-free.

Alan and Paul had confirmed their split in January 2022, with Paul revealing that he was in rehab for alcoholism at the time. The couple had been together for 13 years before the split. Their wedding, which took place at Adele’s California home with the singer as their officiant, was attended by close friends and family. Both Alan and Paul have been open about their struggles, with Paul seeking help at the beginning of 2022. The comedian expressed his support for Paul’s decision to get help and acknowledged the challenges they had faced as a couple.
