Plans for a Spice Girls documentary to mark their 30th anniversary have fallen apart, despite the success of a Netflix documentary about David Beckham’s TV company. While Victoria, Mel B, Mel C, and Emma Bunton were on board for the documentary, Geri Halliwell was against the idea. This disagreement led to tension within the group, with rumors suggesting that Geri was not keen on revisiting the past due to personal issues surrounding her husband at the time. The documentary was intended to feature interviews with all the Spice Girls discussing their experiences of fame and life after their pop heyday.
