Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan are still working out details of their divorce settlement nearly five years after being legally declared single. The main issue at hand is the Magic Mike franchise, with Dewan requesting half of Tatum’s intellectual property earnings from the series. Dewan claims that they had previously agreed to split the earnings equally as the project was developed with joint funds and efforts. Steven Soderbergh, the director of Magic Mike, is also on the witness list for the court case.

Aside from Magic Mike earnings, Dewan primarily earns income from her acting career, including her current role on ABC’s The Rookie. She also receives royalties from past acting jobs and has brand partnerships. Dewan co-founded a production company with Tatum and has various investments. She owns her home and covers expenses for their daughter Everly. Tatum, on the other hand, also earns as an actor and has investments in various companies. In addition to Magic Mike royalties, Tatum co-owns production companies with Dewan.

Magic Mike has been a profitable venture, with the films grossing millions at the box office and successful stage shows in Las Vegas and London. A court hearing revealed that Dewan’s lawyer has accused Tatum of hiding assets related to Magic Mike in complex financial structures to conceal earnings. Dewan’s legal team is pushing for a separate trial to determine the value of the Magic Mike assets and what Dewan is owed. Tatum’s lawyers deny hiding assets and state that they have not denied Dewan a share of community assets or income.

Tatum’s legal team claims that all transactions related to Magic Mike were made transparently and with Dewan’s involvement. They state that Tatum never took actions to the detriment of the community or Dewan. Despite the ongoing disputes over Magic Mike earnings, both parties agreed to share joint physical and legal custody of their daughter Everly. Dewan has expressed willingness to work out an agreement on other assets and custody arrangements once the Magic Mike dispute is settled. The outcome of the trial will impact the income available for child support and reimbursement claims.
