The cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan in the field of industry is continuing to grow, according to a statement from the Ministry of Industry and Technology. A project that was initiated at the end of last year has led to the establishment of 12 new metrology laboratories in Azerbaijan under the auspices of TÜBİTAK UME and the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute. These laboratories will cover areas such as dimensional, wavelength, electromagnetic, impedance, photometry, density and viscosity, force, medical metrology, humidity, RF and microwave, hardness, and time-frequency.

The purchasing process for the necessary equipment is close to completion, and training for technical staff at the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute has already begun as part of the project. The goal of the project is to enhance Azerbaijan’s integration into the world of metrology and to provide a significant boost to the country’s metrology capabilities. The project is expected to be completed within 18 months, with plans for a second phase that will involve the establishment of an additional 15 laboratories.

The project aims to enhance the capacity and capabilities of metrology laboratories in Azerbaijan, helping to strengthen the country’s industrial infrastructure. By establishing new laboratories in various key metrology fields, the project will contribute to the overall development and advancement of the industrial sector in Azerbaijan. This collaboration between Turkey and Azerbaijan reflects the strong partnership and mutual interest in promoting technological advancements and research in the region.

The Ministry of Industry and Technology’s announcement highlights the importance of international cooperation and collaboration in the field of industry. By working together on projects such as this one, countries can share knowledge, resources, and expertise to achieve common goals and drive innovation. The establishment of new metrology laboratories in Azerbaijan will not only enhance the country’s industrial capabilities but also contribute to the overall growth and development of the region’s scientific and technological landscape.

As the project progresses, it is expected to have a positive impact on the economic and industrial sectors in both Turkey and Azerbaijan. By strengthening metrology capabilities and infrastructure, the project will help to improve the quality and accuracy of measurements in various industries, ultimately leading to increased efficiency and productivity. The continued cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan in the field of industry is a testament to the strong relationship between the two countries and their commitment to mutual growth and development.
