A man suspected of fleeing an oil station near the Yeniçağa district after paying with foreign currency above the shopping amount, caught the attention of the employees who then reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Following the report, both gendarmerie and police officers started following the car in order to stop it at the Çaydurt location. Despite the security forces’ command to stop, the car ignored and continued to flee, resulting in a chase that lasted approximately 25 kilometers until the car was finally stopped at the Kuruçay location. As a response, a large number of police teams were dispatched to the area.

The driver of the car, identified as A.M., claimed to feel unwell to the police officers and was then examined by the health teams who arrived at the scene. Following the investigation, it was discovered that A.M. had records of various crimes and thus a decision was made to search his car. The car was then taken to the Security Branch Directorate of the Provincial Police Department with the help of a towing truck, and during the search, a significant amount of pistol bullets, a toy gun, a pistol holder, as well as various tools and equipment, were found in the vehicle.

As a result of the search, the suspect was subjected to both judicial and administrative procedures, and his driver’s license was confiscated for a period of 2 months. The incident highlighted the vigilance and swift reaction of the security personnel in responding to suspicious activities and potential threats. The collaboration between law enforcement agencies played a crucial role in the successful identification and apprehension of the suspect, ultimately ensuring the safety and security of the region and its residents. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of constant monitoring and reporting of suspicious behavior in order to maintain public safety and prevent criminal activities in various areas.
