A.E, posing as a police officer, called H.A living in the city center and told him a lie that his name was involved in a crime and in order to close the case, he needed to give the police the jewelry at home for security reasons.

H.A realized he had been scammed after giving A.E jewelry worth 1.5 million liras that arrived at his house and later reported the incident to the police.

As a result, the Bilecik Police Department’s Department of Public Security examined the Kent Security Management System (KGYS) and License Plate Recognition System (PTS) footage in the area to determine that A.E had taken a taxi to Kocaeli where his house is located.

After contacting the Kocaeli Police Department, A.E’s father, H.E, came to Bilecik and handed over the gold left by his son at the house to the police at the station. The jewelry was then returned to H.A.

The search for the suspect, A.E, is ongoing in order to apprehend him.
