Princess Beatrice’s ex-boyfriend Paolo Liuzzo passed away from a suspected drug overdose at a hotel in Miami. His body was transported back to his hometown in Long Island, N.Y., where a funeral was held. The investigation into his death is ongoing, with officials looking into the circumstances surrounding his passing.

An alleged longtime friend of Liuzzo revealed that he was struggling before his death, engaging in a fast-paced lifestyle of partying and gambling. He often borrowed money to pay off loans, creating a cycle of debt that was difficult to break. Beatrice was reportedly heartbroken over the news, but representatives for her have not commented on the situation.

Beatrice and Liuzzo began dating in 2005 when she was 17 and he was 24. Despite initial support from her mother, Sarah Ferguson, their relationship faced public scrutiny due to Liuzzo’s criminal past. He had been charged with manslaughter but eventually served community service for assault and battery. Their relationship ended in 2006 after Liuzzo violated his probation.

Liuzzo later claimed he was never in love with Princess Beatrice and expressed doubts about their relationship. Following their breakup, he was involved in legal troubles after crashing a rental car and facing charges of fraud and drug possession. Despite his difficulties, he never married and worked as an art industry consultant until his untimely death.

Princess Beatrice, in the meantime, moved on and married entrepreneur Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in 2020. They now share a daughter named Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi and Edoardo has a son from a previous relationship. The tragic loss of her ex-boyfriend has undoubtedly brought back memories of their time together but Beatrice seems to have found happiness in her current family life. Liuzzo’s death serves as a reminder of the dangers of addiction and the consequences of a fast-paced lifestyle.
