Kate Middleton and Prince William will not be seeing Prince Harry during his brief visit to London next week, the Duke of Sussex’s first trip back to his home soil since learning of his sister-in-law’s cancer diagnosis last month. The royals are not interested in mending bridges with Harry, with William feeling betrayed by Harry’s memoir. William has no interest in meeting up with his brother but has no issue with their father, King Charles, reuniting with Harry. Despite Charles being too busy to meet with Harry, William and Kate have accepted the situation and moved on, focusing on protecting their family from stressful situations.

Harry is reportedly set to check into a hotel room during his trip due to the royals not offering up any of their residences for his stay. This won’t be the first time Harry stays at a hotel during a quick trip to London, as he did so in February as well. There is no confirmation of any royals attending the event next week, indicating that the trip will be a solo venture for Harry. His wife and children are expected to stay home during this trip, but the Sussexes are planning to jet off to Nigeria later in the month.

Both sides understand each other’s positions clearly now, according to a friend of the couple. William and Catherine felt betrayed by Harry’s memoir and do not speak to Harry and Meghan Markle. William and Catherine are not interested in reconciling with Harry, particularly while Catherine is at her most vulnerable due to her health struggles. William respects his father’s wish to reconcile with Harry, but his focus is on protecting his family from stress. The situation no longer uses up a huge amount of their mental energy, as the couple has accepted it and moved on.

Despite the potential for a royal reconciliation during Harry’s visit to London, it seems that the royals are not interested in reuniting with him. Harry’s upcoming trip is significant as it will be his first time back in London since learning of Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis. The royals do not plan to offer any of their residences for Harry’s stay, leaving him to check into a hotel during his visit. Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace officials have not confirmed any indication of any royals attending the event next week, suggesting that this will be a solo trip for Harry without his family.
