David Beckham and his wife Victoria celebrate the fashion designer’s 50th birthday, but it is unknown if their once close friends Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be sending birthday wishes. The Beckham family has always been close to the royal family, including Prince Harry and Prince William, with Victoria having met the princes during her Spice Girls days. Reports suggest that Victoria had offered Meghan support and access to her contacts in the UK. However, tensions arose when the Sussexes became upset after reports of Victoria helping Meghan, resulting in a furious phone call between Harry and David.

Despite the initial tension, the Beckhams attended Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018 at St. George’s Chapel, where Victoria wore a navy dress designed by herself. Additionally, Harry had asked David to be an ambassador for the Invictus Games, but things turned sour when Harry refused to see David in Sydney in 2018, reportedly due to Meghan’s concerns about Victoria leaking stories. Meghan did wear some of Victoria’s designs after this incident, but signs of a rift between the two couples began to show when Harry and Meghan did not attend Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding or David’s football events.

Most recently, when Harry attended a match between Inter Miami and Los Angeles FC, Meghan was noticeably absent despite being listed as an attendee. The couple’s names were simply mentioned as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle without their job titles. Despite these events, Meghan had previously worn Victoria’s designs for special occasions. The Beckhams’ relationship with the Sussexes seems to have cooled off, with signs indicating that the friendship may no longer be as close as it once was. Despite past support and connections, the relationship between the two high-profile couples appears to be strained.
