WiiM has launched the WiiM Ultra, a new and improved version of its popular line of streamers, featuring a 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen display that shows the current track and enables playback controls. The device also has a physical volume knob and play button, allowing it to operate as a preamp when connected to a power amp. With various connectivity options including HDMI ARC, analog line-in, phono-input, optical inputs, and more, the WiiM Ultra offers a versatile and feature-rich streaming experience. It is equipped with an ES9038 Sabre DAC, built-in room correction technology, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and supports multiple streaming formats such as Spotify Connect, Chromecast built-in, Apple AirPlay, Amazon multiroom, and Roon Ready.

In addition to the WiiM Ultra, the company has introduced the WiiM Amp Pro, a 60-watt-per-channel amplifier with integrated streaming capabilities. While the WiiM Ultra features a screen, the Amp Pro does not. Priced competitively at $329 for the Ultra and $369 for the Amp Pro, both devices offer high-quality streaming performance at an affordable cost compared to other similar products in the market. The EverSolo DMP-A6 is the only other streamer with a screen in a comparable price range, retailing for $859, while the Bluesound Node, priced at $599, does not have an LCD screen. The WiiM Pro, priced at $149, is CNET’s top choice for most users, while the Pro Plus is recommended for those looking to share analog sources throughout their home.

The new WiiM Ultra streamer and WiiM Amp Pro amplifier are expected to be available in Q3, offering consumers an attractive option for high-quality audio streaming with advanced features at a competitive price point. With its sleek design, touchscreen display, and versatile connectivity options, the WiiM Ultra stands out as a top choice for music enthusiasts looking for an advanced streaming solution. The combination of premium components such as the ES9038 Sabre DAC and built-in room correction technology, along with support for popular streaming formats, ensures a superior audio experience for users. As the demand for high-fidelity audio streaming continues to grow, WiiM’s latest offerings are poised to make a significant impact in the market.
