Gemma Krzesinska encountered a traumatic incident while walking her three Lupine dogs along the canal path in Leigh, Greater Manchester. A man with an XL Bully-type dog was walking in front of them, and Gemma was immediately concerned about the aggressive behavior of the dog. She put a lead on one of her dogs, Toki, and kept the other two, Zues and Dax, to the side as they passed the man and his dog. Suddenly, she heard a noise and realized Toki’s lead had been ripped from her hand. She saw the XL Bully-type dog had Toki’s front leg in its mouth, and despite efforts from Gemma and Zues to stop the attack, the dog shook Toki by the neck repeatedly until Gemma managed to choke it to release the injured dog. Unfortunately, Toki was so badly injured that she had to be put to sleep.

The devastating incident has left Gemma traumatized and heartbroken. She described Toki’s severe injuries, including damage to her leg, neck, head, and underlying tissue. The veterinarians did everything they could to stabilize Toki, but the injuries were too severe for her to recover from. Gemma was deeply affected by the incident and recalls the screams of her beloved pet during the attack. The emotional toll of losing Toki has made Gemma nervous and anxious when walking her other dogs, especially Dax, who has become more anxious during walks. The attack happened quickly, leaving Gemma shocked and dealing with the aftermath of the traumatic event.

Despite reporting the incident to the police, no arrests have been made at this time. Gemma is left to deal with the physical and emotional repercussions of the attack on her own. Her peaceful morning walks with her dogs have been shattered, and the memories of the horrific incident continue to haunt her. A fundraiser has been set up to help Gemma cover the vet bills and cremation costs for Toki. The community has come together to show support for Gemma during this difficult time, as she mourns the loss of a beloved member of her family. Gemma’s story serves as a tragic reminder of the dangers of dog attacks and the lasting impact they can have on both pets and their owners. As she seeks healing and closure, the memory of Toki and the trauma of that fateful day will stay with her forever.
