CG Hospitality, led by Nepalese billionaire Binod Chaudhary, has joined forces with Tata Group’s Indian Hotels to expand their hotel presence in the Indian subcontinent and the Himalayas as travel continues to grow. The partnership, known as Ekyam, has dedicated over 12.5 billion rupees ($150 million) to develop 11 hotels focusing on adventure and wildlife destinations. Managing director Rahul Chaudhary revealed plans to open 14 new hotels next year, bringing the total number of rooms to 2,500 across 25 locations.

The collaboration with Indian Hotels began over two decades ago when CG Hospitality invested in several Taj resorts in the Maldives and Sri Lanka. Since then, the partnership has expanded to include properties in Dubai, India, and Nepal. CG Hospitality also owns hotels under other brands such as Fern Hotels in India, Jetwing and Ceylon Hotels Group in Sri Lanka, and Fairmont Hotels in Kenya. With a portfolio of over 178 properties in 12 countries, including The Farm wellness resort in the Philippines, Chaudhary’s company is a major player in the hospitality industry.

Binod Chaudhary, who holds a net worth of $1.8 billion and is Nepal’s only billionaire, is the controlling shareholder of CG Corp Global. In addition to his hospitality ventures, he also has stakes in Nabil Bank and CG Foods, the maker of Wai Wai noodles. Chaudhary plans to list several of his companies by 2026, further solidifying his presence in the business world. The expansion of the Ekyam platform reflects CG Hospitality’s confidence in Indian Hotels’ renowned legacy in the hospitality industry.

The joint venture’s expansion plans highlight the increasing demand for niche adventure and wildlife destinations in the region. By combining CG Hospitality’s expertise in the sector with Indian Hotels’ long-standing reputation, the partners aim to provide unparalleled experiences for travelers across their properties. With new hotels set to open in key locations, Ekyam is poised to become a major player in the hospitality market, offering unique and diverse options for guests seeking memorable stays in the Indian subcontinent and the Himalayas.

Chaudhary’s vision for CG Corp Global is to establish a strong presence in the hospitality sector through strategic partnerships and investments. With a focus on quality and innovation, the company aims to elevate the guest experience at all its properties, including the upcoming offerings under the Ekyam platform. By leveraging the combined strengths of both CG Hospitality and Indian Hotels, the joint venture is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for unique and immersive travel experiences in the region.

As CG Hospitality continues to expand its footprint in the Indian subcontinent and beyond, Binod Chaudhary’s leadership and vision have propelled the company to new heights in the hospitality industry. With a diverse portfolio of properties and a commitment to excellence, CG Corp Global is set to transform the travel landscape in the region, offering guests unparalleled luxury and adventure experiences across its growing network of hotels and resorts. Through strategic partnerships and investments, Chaudhary is paving the way for CG Hospitality to become a leading player in the industry, catering to the evolving needs of modern travelers seeking unforgettable experiences in the Indian subcontinent and the Himalayas.
