The Ministry of Youth and Sports announced that candidates can apply through the website “ghgm.gsb.gov.tr” by April 15th. The Ministry aims to renew and expand the pool of volunteer leaders, selecting 660 new camp leaders from individuals who can serve as role models, guide young people, effectively manage group dynamics, and share their skills, knowledge, and expertise. The new leaders will have the opportunity to develop themselves in areas such as teamwork and communication skills through a six-day training program conducted in three sessions.

In his statement, Youth and Sports Minister Osman Aşkın Bak emphasized that they have initiated a transformation in youth camps by improving both the concept and implementation. He stated, “Our goal is to develop innovative youth camp programs that meet the needs of our young people.” Minister Bak highlighted the importance of youth camps in contributing significantly to the development of young individuals in various aspects such as social, cultural, and sports, while also helping them stay away from negative habits and lead a healthy life.

Minister Bak further emphasized the role of volunteer camp leaders in guiding young people and directly impacting their development, noting that the recruitment of 660 new volunteer camp leaders this year aims to strengthen their program and provide a higher quality experience to young individuals. The Ministry covers the transportation, accommodation, and meal needs of young people attending youth camps in various cities across Turkey, allowing them to benefit from the opportunities provided. Minister Bak highlighted that cultural exchange among young people from different regions occurs during these camps, enabling them to build new friendships and enhancing their overall development.

Youth camps play a vital role in enabling young individuals to utilize their leisure time effectively and contribute to their social, cultural, and sports development. Minister Bak expressed his commitment to continuing to work on various initiatives such as youth centers, sports facilities, and youth offices to positively impact the lives of young people and provide them with beneficial experiences.
