Kyle Richards recently removed her husband Mauricio Umansky’s last name from her social media accounts after he reportedly moved out of their family home. Despite the name change on Instagram, she still describes herself as a wife in her bio. Umansky, a real estate mogul who stars on “Buying Beverly Hills,” is currently living in a West Hollywood condo, although he reportedly visits the family home often while Richards is out of town.

The couple’s separation was confirmed in July 2023 after 27 years of marriage. However, they have not officially filed for divorce and continued to live together while navigating their time apart. Richards stated in a previous interview that they are able to coexist in the same home due to its size and their mutual respect for each other. She confirmed back in December 2023 that she and Umansky were sleeping in separate bedrooms, but maintained that they care about each other and are still a family regardless of their living situation.

According to an insider, the arrangement of Umansky living in a separate residence from Richards works well with their busy schedules, as they both have been traveling frequently. Umansky reportedly visits their family home often while Richards is away. Page Six reported that in March, Umansky was overheard discussing his plans to move out of their shared residence during a boys’ trip to Aspen. Additionally, it was revealed during an Amazon Live session in April that the couple had stopped going to couple’s therapy.

The couple shares three daughters together – Alexia, Sophia, and Portia, ages 27, 24, and 16, respectively. Richards also has an adult daughter named Farrah from a previous marriage. The family has been adjusting to the changes in their living situation due to Umansky’s relocation, with Richards continuing to focus on her career as an actress, author, producer, and reality TV star on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Umansky’s decision to move out of their family home has raised questions about the future of their relationship and whether a divorce may be imminent. However, for now, the couple remains separated but still connected by their shared history and family ties.
