Katie Price is facing eviction from her home, Mucky Mansion, after being served with an eviction notice due to her failure to appear in court following her declaration of bankruptcy. The property, located in Horsham, West Sussex, has fallen into disrepair and her ex, Carl Woods, had been using the garden for his used car sales business. Katie had purchased the property for £1.35 million in 2014 and had her own show, Katie Price’s Mucky Mansion, showcasing her attempts at renovation.

Due to her failure to pay over £750,000 in unpaid tax, Katie has been served with a notice to leave her home unless the money is recovered by HMRC. Katie had been scheduled to testify about her finances in court but instead went on holiday to Ayia Napa with her boyfriend, JJ Slater. She claimed that she had been signed off from attending court due to her mental health issues. Despite facing public backlash for her holiday, Katie stated that she was taking her bankruptcy seriously, and her mental health needed a break at the moment.

Katie is now facing the possibility of arrest by police for failing to attend the last court hearing over her bankruptcy. Her personal assistant provided a letter from a consultant psychiatrist stating that she was dealing with anxiety and depression affecting her mental health. Barristers for the trustees of Katie’s bankruptcy requested the judge to order her attendance at a future hearing and warned her that she could be arrested if she failed to appear. The court expressed concern over the last-minute adjournments sought by Katie and demanded satisfactory medical evidence for her absence.

The bankruptcy faced by Katie is her second, with creditors chasing her for a £3.2 million payment over the failure of her company, Jordan Trading Ltd, which sells perfume and cosmetics. A judge at the High Court ruled in favor of declaring Katie bankrupt after she failed to respond to a demand for unpaid tax. Katie had been served with a petition demanding £761,994.05 for unpaid tax, penalties, and surcharges as well as £140,000 in unpaid VAT. Despite revealing that she felt unable to attend court to discuss her finances, Katie had been unresponsive to HMRC’s demands.

Katie has failed to appear at six previous insolvency hearings, providing excuses for her absence each time. HMRC is determined to recover the money owed by Katie, seizing her assets if payment is not made. The situation has escalated to the point where Katie is facing eviction from her home, Mucky Mansion, due to her failure to pay her debts and attend court hearings. Despite facing these challenges, Katie maintains that she is taking her bankruptcy seriously and is working with her consultants to address her mental health issues. The future remains uncertain for Katie as she navigates the legal and financial repercussions of her bankruptcy.
