In a signing ceremony held at the Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Cultural Center, Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality Fırat Görgel and Mehmet Akif Dağ, the President of Hizmet-İş Union Kahramanmaraş Branch, signed an additional protocol.

Following the signing ceremony, Görgel stated that the minimum wage for company workers at the municipality and KASKİ was 28,000 lira, while the minimum wage for regular employees was 35,000 lira.

Görgel wished a happy Labor and Solidarity Day to the workers and emphasized the important roles of every individual in the development of the new Kahramanmaraş.

He mentioned that with the additional protocol, a 27% wage increase was implemented, and emphasized their continuous support for the employees, stating: “The sweat of our colleagues is vital to us. We promised to do our best to ensure that our colleagues have a better standard of living. Today, we took the first step towards this goal.”

Görgel also expressed their commitment to further improving the living standards of the employees and mentioned plans to increase the holiday bonuses. He stated that they will strive to enhance the quality of life for their employees, ultimately aiming to create better conditions for the new Kahramanmaraş.

Mehmet Akif Dağ, the President of Hizmet-İş Union Kahramanmaraş Branch, thanked Mayor Fırat Görgel for his contributions and support in improving the working conditions and livelihoods of the municipality and KASKİ employees.
