Frank Ocean, the R&B superstar, has not released new music in years, but his sophomore album, Blonde, continues to gain popularity on streaming platforms. The album has reached a new peak position on the Top Streaming Albums chart, climbing from No. 47 to No. 39, marking Ocean’s first top 40 win on this chart. Despite being out for nearly eight years, Blonde’s streaming activity has helped it rise on other Billboard charts as well.

Blonde has also climbed seven spaces on the all-encompassing Billboard 200 chart, reaching No. 51. It has remained steady at No. 21 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 6 on the Top R&B Albums chart. While Blonde is Ocean’s only placement on the Top Streaming Albums chart, his debut album, Channel Orange, is also present on the Billboard 200, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, and Top R&B Albums charts, with mixed results in terms of chart performance.

Released in August 2016, Blonde was preceded by a visual album titled Endless. Although Endless did not chart as it was marketed as a video, Blonde has been Ocean’s main musical focus since its release. While Ocean has released a few singles since Blonde, there has been no news or announcement about a new album from the artist. Fans of Frank Ocean continue to patiently await new music from the talented singer-songwriter as he continues to enjoy success on the charts with his existing discography.
