Anything can be a cup if you want it to be.

Slurpee season has returned, and so has 7-Eleven’s annual Bring Your Own Cup Day.

On Saturday, April 13, for one day only, customers at 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes can spend just $1.99 to fill up any — well, almost any — cup-like vessel of their choosing and fill it up with Slurpees.

While 7-Eleven, Inc. encourages Slurpee lovers to drink in style and fill up their motorcycle helmets, fish bowls or milk cartons, there are a couple rules to what qualifies as a “cup.”

The container being filled up with the iconic frozen drink must fit upright in an in-store display with a 10-inch cutout, ensuring that it will fit under the Slurpee dispenser. There’s also a limit of one cup per customer, and the makeshift cup should be clean, watertight and leak-proof.

Consumers can fill their cup with this season’s limited-time-only flavors such as Chili Mango and Fanta Dragonfruit Zero or classic fan-favorites including Coca-Cola, Cherry, Blue Raspberry and Pina Colada.

Anyone who doesn’t want to BYOC can still slurp out of the classic cup, and 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards loyalty members can get a large Slurpee for just $1.

“BYOC Day is a time-honored tradition at 7-Eleven that we look forward to each year,” Dennis Phelps, Senior Vice President, Merchandising (Vault and Proprietary Beverages) at 7-Eleven, said in a statement.

“We love seeing our customers – of all ages – bring their imagination and creativity to life while enjoying our beloved Slurpee drink.”
