Every Wednesday, families gather in front of the DEM Party Provincial Headquarters building to try to make their voices heard in order to get their children to surrender.
Alaattin Koçhan, who participated in the protest, told journalists that he has not heard from his son for 8 years.
Koçhan, who stated that his son was taken away in 2016 in Bursa, said, “My son Ersin, if you can hear me, come. I always feel that something is missing when you are not with me. You cannot achieve anything by wandering in the mountains and stones. Come and surrender to the state. I want my son from the DEM Party and PKK. Would they accept it if it were their children? I haven’t heard from my son for 8 years.”

“We want everyone to support us”
Gülbahar Teker, a mother who stated that they are not afraid of DEM Party and PKK, said, “We have been standing guard here for years. I want my son back. Bring our children to us. We are not afraid of any of them and we will continue our protest. Parents should no longer cry. We want everyone to support us.”
