Don Lemon, the former CNN anchor, recently married his longtime partner Tim Malone in a ceremony at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York. The couple exchanged vows in front of approximately 140 guests, including celebrities like Matt Lauer, Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, and Alec Baldwin. Following the ceremony, the grooms exited the church carrying their three dogs who were part of the event. Lemon and Malone both wore velvet tuxedos in different shades, rocking green and navy respectively.

The ceremony was followed by a reception at Ralph Lauren’s Polo bar, marking eight years since Lemon and Malone met at Almond Restaurant in Bridgehampton, New York. The event coincided with Malone’s birthday and the five-year anniversary of their engagement. Lemon shared that while he is usually a last-minute person who doesn’t worry about most things, he was secretly anxious about the wedding but trusted Malone to handle the planning. The grooms incorporated marriage traditions from each of their families into the ceremony, which was officiated by their friend, United States ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield.

The couple wanted a big wedding to make a public statement and involve their loved ones, despite the option of a quiet city hall ceremony due to Covid. Malone expressed that for many of their guests, it would be their first gay wedding experience. The wedding featured the songs “What a Wonderful World” and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” as Lemon and Malone entered and exited the church. The groom shared that while he was busy writing questions for work, Malone handled wedding planning details like outfit button placements with ease.

The event was attended by an array of notable guests, including TV personalities and celebrities, showcasing Lemon and Malone’s celebration of their love with those close to them. The ceremony marked a significant milestone in their relationship and allowed them to share their joy and commitment with their family and friends. Lemon, now hosting his own streaming program, “The Don Lemon Show,” continues to share his life with Malone and their dogs, enjoying new adventures as a married couple. The wedding was a testament to their love and partnership, culminating in a memorable and heartfelt celebration.
