A drone coalition co-led by the U.K. and Latvia has raised over 500 million euros ($535 million) to purchase drones for Ukraine. Established in January, the coalition aims to strengthen Ukraine’s arsenal of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Apart from the founding states, seven countries have joined the alliance, including Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Sweden, Estonia, and Denmark. Denmark and the Netherlands have jointly contributed 400 million euros ($535 million), making it the largest investment in the coalition. Canada, Lithuania, and Latvia have also made monetary contributions towards the procurement of drones for Ukraine, with ongoing negotiations with other countries to further support the cause.

In addition to financial contributions, Germany, the Netherlands, Canada, and Lithuania have announced plans to provide Ukraine with new batches of multi-mission and reconnaissance drones. Lithuania has also allocated additional funds to support Ukraine’s first-person-view drone production, as reported by Ukraine’s Defense Ministry. Furthermore, Quantum Systems, a German drone manufacturer, has opened a drone factory and development hub in Ukraine, signaling a boost in drone production and innovation within the country.
