A chain reaction traffic accident occurred in Bahçelievler Mahallesi on the D-100 Highway in Ankara around 04:30. Allegedly, a car driven by Emirhan Aydın collided with a fruit and vegetable loaded truck driven by Mehmet Hanifi Kaya in front of it.

The impact caused the truck to overturn on the highway, while the car was able to come to a stop after crashing into the barriers on the side of the road about 100 meters away. Meanwhile, a car driven by Kaan Koçak, who was following behind, also collided with the overturned truck.

In the chain reaction accident, 4 people were injured, 2 of them seriously. Upon receiving the notification, a large number of fire brigade, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The fire brigade teams arrived at the scene and rescued the injured trapped in the vehicles, delivering them to the medical teams.

After providing initial medical assistance at the scene, the medical teams transported the injured to the hospital by ambulance. Following the accident, the D-100 Highway towards Ankara was closed to traffic for a while, and vehicles were directed to the side road.

The fruits and vegetables spilled from the overturned truck were cleaned up from the road by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality teams. Once the vehicles involved in the accident were removed from the scene, traffic returned to normal, and the police initiated an investigation into the accident.
