Angelina Jolie recently got a tattoo that reads “Stay Gold” to honor her work as a producer of the new Broadway musical The Outsiders. This tattoo is a reference to the words of Pony Boy, a character from the play. Jolie attended the opening night of The Outsiders in New York City where she debuted the tattoo. Other members of the creative team also got matching “Stay Gold” tattoos, including Justin Levine, who shared his tattoo on Instagram.

In addition to her new tattoo, Jolie gushed over her daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, who is helping her produce the new Broadway musical. Vivienne has been keeping her mother in line while working on the show, taking her job very seriously. Jolie shares a total of six children with ex-husband Brad Pitt, and she credits Vivienne for inspiring her to take on the project. Jolie announced her role as lead producer of The Outsiders in August 2023 after being inspired by Vivienne’s passion for theater.

Vivienne reminds Jolie of her own mother, as she is focused on being a support to other creatives rather than being the center of attention. Jolie described Vivienne as thoughtful and serious about theater, working hard to understand how to contribute. This isn’t the first time Jolie has worked with her children on projects, as she is also collaborating on an upcoming film titled Without Blood with her sons Maddox and Pax. Jolie is directing the movie, while her sons will serve as assistant directors.

Jolie and her children have a strong working relationship, as she believes they work well together and function as a big family when on set. She enjoys the family dynamic that is created when working on a film crew at its best. Jolie’s dedication to her work as a producer and her collaboration with her children showcase her commitment to creating meaningful and impactful projects in the entertainment industry. Through her work on The Outsiders and other projects, Jolie continues to inspire and empower those around her, including her children.
