During the Ramadan holiday, many people who wanted to experience a different joy with paragliding in Uçmakdere, where blue and green meet, met with the sky, said Tekirdağ Director of Culture and Tourism Ahmet Hacıoğlu.

Hacıoğlu stated that especially holidaymakers coming from Istanbul and neighboring cities had the opportunity to have a holiday in nature in Uçmakdere. He said, “The holiday was very fruitful for Tekirdağ. There were kilometers of traffic jams on the roads in the city. Tekirdağ, which includes many types of tourism, was among the most preferred places for holidaymakers. Especially the most striking place was Uçmakdere. ATV tours, hiking routes, and of course paragliding attracted the most attention. Approximately 2,000 people did paragliding during the 9-day holiday.”

Hacıoğlu stated that holidaymakers coming to the city contributed value to Tekirdağ’s tourism and guests left the city with beautiful memories.

Paragliding instructor Kadir Aksoy also stated that there was intensive demand for paragliding flights during the holiday.

Aksoy expressed that Uçmakdere was one of the most preferred regions around Istanbul during the holiday and said, “By making many flights during the holiday, we showed the beauties of the region to holidaymakers. The good weather also increased interest. There was a flight every day during the holiday. We provided everyone with a pleasant, different experience here.”
