Travis Kelce gave his approval after former Kansas City Chiefs player Chase Daniel detailed the invisible string theory connecting Kelce and Taylor Swift before they began dating. It all started when Daniel reposted a tweet featuring Swift posing with a Chiefs sign and a jersey given to her by Daniel and his wife in 2015. Daniel joked about the theory connecting Kelce and Swift through invisible strings, to which Kelce had a humorous reaction in the comment section.

Fans known as Swifties have been decoding Taylor Swift’s every move, especially when it comes to her songwriting. They have been pointing out references in Swift’s lyrics, such as her track “Invisible String” from her Folklore album, and other coincidences that seemed to connect Swift and Kelce before they officially started dating. Some examples include both being born in 1989, having a mutual friend in Miles Teller, and a tweet by Kelce about squirrels and Swift later dressing up as a squirrel for Halloween.

Kelce and Swift were first linked romantically in the summer of 2023, with Swift attending 13 of Kelce’s Chiefs games throughout the season. Kelce also defended Swift when she was booed at a game against the New England Patriots. During the season, Kelce made a point to support Swift by flying across the world to see her perform on her Eras Tour as well.

Swift recently kicked off the European leg of her tour, with Kelce joining her for some of the dates before the start of the 2024-2025 NFL season. Despite the challenges of being apart while working, a source revealed that the couple has deepened their bond during the time they’ve spent together. They both have busy careers and understand each other’s commitments, which has helped them support and respect one another in their relationship.
