After 12 days of competition at the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, one team from each of the four groups has already qualified for the Super Eight stage, while four teams have been eliminated. The remaining 12 teams are fighting for the four remaining spots, with some on the brink of advancing to the next stage and others hanging on by a thread and hoping for favorable outcomes and net run rates.

In Group A, India has already secured their spot in the Super Eight stage after winning all three of their matches. The USA is the favorite to qualify, needing just one more win to advance. Pakistan and Canada have slim chances of qualifying, while Ireland’s hopes rest on mathematical probabilities and favorable outcomes in their remaining matches.

In Group B, Australia has already qualified after winning all three of their matches. Scotland is the favorite to join them in the Super Eight stage, but England still has a slim chance of qualifying if they win their remaining matches by large margins. Namibia and Oman are already eliminated from contention.

Co-hosts West Indies have already qualified from Group C after winning all three of their matches. Afghanistan is the favorite to join them in the Super Eight stage, while Uganda, Papua New Guinea, and New Zealand have slim chances of advancing and will need favorable outcomes and large-margin wins in their remaining matches.

In Group D, South Africa has secured their spot in the Super Eight stage, while Bangladesh and Netherlands are favorites to join them. Nepal still has a slim chance of qualifying, while Sri Lanka has been eliminated from contention due to their disappointing performance in the tournament.

As the tournament progresses, fans are eagerly watching the action and using their mathematical and prediction skills to assess their favorite team’s chances of advancing to the next round. The remaining group matches will determine which teams will move on to the Super Eight stage and continue their quest for the T20 World Cup title.
