The importance of having a good backdrop for Instagram photos has become significant for international travelers, with researchers ranking the world’s most Instagram-worthy hotels. Dubai Tours & Tickets analyzed 80 top hotels worldwide and ranked them based on the total number of hashtagged Instagram pictures shared online. Unsurprisingly, hotels in Dubai took the top two spots on the list.

The Burj Al Arab in Dubai was crowned the most Instagrammable hotel in the world, with over 2.5 million posts featuring the hotel’s Instagram hashtag. This tall glass building is situated on its own man-made island and offers 198 exclusive suites overlooking the water. The hotel is being posted on Instagram 2,869% more than London’s Claridge’s, which ranked tenth on the list.

In second place on the list is Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai, with over 673,000 Instagram posts featuring the hashtag. The 1,544-room ocean-themed resort includes free access to the world’s largest waterpark, the Aquaventure Waterpark, with massive fish tanks that give the feeling of being underwater. Located on Dubai’s Palm Island, the resort offers views of the city’s iconic skyline and the Arabian Sea.

The Soneva Jani in the Maldives was ranked as the third-most Instagram-worthy hotel, with over 423,000 hashtagged posts on the app. This exclusive resort is only accessible by seaplane from Velana International Airport or by speedboat from Kunfunadhoo Island. With only 51 over-water villas and seven island residences, it offers a spectacular and luxurious stay.

Other hotels that made the top 10 list of most Instagram-worthy hotels include Villa d’Este in Lake Como, Italy; Bellagio in Las Vegas, US; Beverly Hills Hotel in California, US; Giraffe Manor in Kenya; Ritz in Paris, France; Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore; and Claridge’s in London, UK. Each of these hotels offers unique and picturesque settings that make them popular choices for travelers looking to capture stunning photos for their social media.

While the list created by Dubai Tours & Tickets is based on the total number of Instagram hashtag mentions, there are many other lists out there that rank the world’s most beautiful hotels based on different criteria. Nevertheless, the hotels chosen by Dubai Tours & Tickets, including Burj Al Arab and Atlantis, The Palm, are undeniably picture-perfect due to their stunning locations and luxury amenities.Travelers looking to enhance their Instagram feed have plenty of options to choose from when it comes to booking a stay at one of these top hotels.
