Yousra El-Lawzy: I bet on the difference between “Al-Maddah” and “Jamila” in Ramadan

> How were you nominated for the movie “Group of Mamies”? Did his story touch your life as a mother?
A few months ago, I was flipping through my phone, and I learned that a movie called “Group of Mamis” was being filmed. Executing it, but the film production officials said we only filmed one day and we want you with us, and after I read the script, I loved the character “Maram” that she embodied, as she is a mother of a boy and a girl and is very focused on the school and the group of mothers.
> And did you add to the role of your experience of reality?
All the time we were adding situations that we lived through, in agreement with director Amr Salah, but the scenario was inclusive of most of the dramatic situations, as it discusses the problems facing mothers who have children in schools; From school demands and high prices, and the new generation in which the mother and father feel that no matter what they do, they will not suffice their demands, while we did not have all these options and we were more convinced, and the film presents the problem in a comic way.
> Didn’t you think about your daughters participating in the movie?
A: I do not like their appearance in works of art, and my daughter Delilah does not have a mobile phone or an account on social media. She has the right to decide that when she grows up, and the matter is not related to envy, as some think, but what worries me most is the non-human working conditions in which we work, because it is not possible to expose them to stress, lack of sleep, and messy appointments; Because they are in a stage of growth. Unfortunately, we do not have laws governing the timing of photography, which affects us and the artwork. Of course, I hope that our working conditions will improve, but if they love the artwork in the future with all its circumstances, I will not prevent them.
> But are you currently participating in filming two series for the upcoming month of Ramadan?
I see that it is not in the interest of the actor to appear in more than one work at the same time, unless there is a very big difference in what he presents in them, and this is what was achieved for me in the third part of the “Al-Madah” series, as well as in the “Jamila” series, and I was excited about the series. panegyrist; Not for the character I am playing, and I cannot disclose its details at the present time, but also for the presence of the director Ahmed Samir Farag, who gave me the opportunity to star for the first time in the long series “Adam and Jamila”, and I also worked with him in the films “Radio Love” and “Banat Al-Umm”. And I love working with him because he is a comfortable and respectful director, and he realizes what he wants and he is like a brother to me. Also, the artist Hamada Helal is a successful artist and has a large audience waiting for him. I worked with him in the movie “Hamza’s Bag” and in the series “Energy of Destiny”, which is one of the most successful works. I have TV, and the audience still calls me by my name in the series, and this audience that I meet on the street is my measure of success, not the number of followers on the communication sites.
> And what about the series “Beautiful”?
The “beautiful” character that I play is the opposite of my character in “Al-Madah”, I do not say that she is evil, but she works for her own benefit and has different values, just as the character’s appearance, performance, clothes and way of speaking are completely different, and it is directed by Sameh Abdel Aziz, with whom I previously worked on a movie. “Eid Night” has not been shown yet. For me, when the character is close to my personality, it is more difficult, contrary to what some people think. Because I must look for something that makes it different from me, but when it is far from my personality it is more fun, and it makes me show new energies.
> What are you most keen on in raising your two daughters?
The same values ​​that I was brought up on, there must be commitment in their lives, and a specific time for everything. Today has a schedule that I apply myself, and if I am involved in filming, I set a plan for the day in all its details and follow up on its implementation. I always teach them to respect a person because he is only a person, and not for any other consideration. This is a principle in my family.
> And what did you learn from your father, the late artist and university professor Mahmoud Al-Lawzi?
A: I learned that the most important thing in work is good preparation for it, but unfortunately there is no longer any preparation, and this affects my nerves personally. .
> Don’t you aspire to present works in international cinema?
During the past years, I was offered to participate in auditions, and I was depressed and did not focus on them. I may do so in the coming period to gain new experiences, and I always try to attend acting workshops in Egypt, and others “online” to recharge my batteries as an actress.
