Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her 96th birthday yesterday, out of sight. An artillery brigade fired artillery on the occasion in central London (AFP), while Buckingham Palace published a picture of the Queen, taken last month in Windsor Gardens, alongside two white elephant ponies native to northern England (Reuters)
