The “gas war” between Russia and Europe intensified yesterday, after Moscow’s decision to suspend the flow of gas to Poland and Bulgaria, while Russian President Vladimir Putin warned “foreign parties” against interfering in the ongoing operations in Ukraine, and threatened a “stunning response” if the interventions resulted in His country was exposed to any strategic threat. He said that Russia “will not hesitate to use weapons that none of its opponents possess.”
This came hours before the arrival of United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to Ukraine from Moscow, where he is expected to hold talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky today.
