    Abdul-Ilah Al-Sanani talks to “Al-Sharq Al-Awsat”: about Ramadan drama… and “Al-Asouf”

    With the start of the holy month, today (Saturday), attention turns again to the Ramadan TV series, amid interest in the Saudi drama on social life, with the files that this holds dealing with the lifestyle, the oil boom, the urban renaissance, and its consequences for the lives of individuals.

    In an interview with Asharq Al-Awsat, Saudi actor Abdulelah Al-Sinani, who is one of the stars of this drama, says, “I believe in the importance of the heritage for rooting identity, rooting the Saudi dramatic work, and giving a clear imprint to Saudi drama in the Arab world,” considering that returning to the local heritage And his presentation in drama would create a pervasive influence for Saudi business. Al-Sinani is the hero of the series “Al-Zahria”, and one of the heroes of the “Al-Asouf” series, which viewers are waiting for this year in its third season, both of which are shown in the month of Ramadan. Al-Sinani explains that the series “Al-Zahria” is a work that deals with a time period that begins in 1978 in a village called Al-Zahriya, far from the city of Riyadh, and presents the character of “Shaman”, explaining that the village will witness many social conflicts, with the beginning of the Renaissance and the accompanying government appraisal, and the return Planning, entering television and establishing a school for girls’ education.

    The Saudi actor talks about the series “Al-Asouf”, and what the conditions of the Al-Tayan family will lead to, of which Al-Sinani is one of its most prominent sons with the character of “Mohsen Al-Tayan”, who will become “another person completely different” from his previous roles.
