The 66th issue of April (2022) of “Sharjah Cultural” magazine, which is issued by the Department of Culture in Sharjah, was finally published.
In his article “Exiting the Margin and Entering the Metn,” Managing Editor Nawaf Younis asked: “Are feminist literature and narration parallel, complementary, or similar to men’s literature and narration, especially since we have become aware of the widening space of narration, which is called feminism, in the Arab cultural scene?”
In the details of the issue, Yaqzan Mustafa dealt with one of the Arab and Muslim scholars, Ahmed bin Daoud Al-Dinuri, who combined wisdom and the statement, and Ahmed Abu Zaid wrote about the American poet and writer Daniel Moore, and Dr. Khaled Azab in the city of Acre, which was founded by the Canaanites BC and thwarted the dream of Napoleon, and Aya Al-Falah stopped at the city, whose name changed from Sirin to Shahat, and is considered one of the most beautiful ancient cities in Libya.
As for the section “Literature and Writers”; So we get to know the writer Anton El-Gamil, who “lived his life fond of culture and journalism, and headed (Al-Ahram) in its golden age” by Dr. Muhammad Saber Arab, and we monitor the reflections of Rashid Issa and the “Trilogy of Literary Biography.” Ahmed Darwish by Anwar El-Deshnawy, Walid Ramadan dealt with the novels of Ahmed Khaled Tawfik, and Abdel-Rahman Al-Haloush stopped at the biography of the poet Paul Shaul.
The issue also included “A Window on the Moroccan Mohamed Khair El-Din”, which is distinguished by its merit in writing in French, according to the testimony of Sartre, Malraux and Beckett to Hassouna Al-Misbahi, and published by Dr. Bahja Edelbi an article on the cultural legacy of Kamel Zuhairi, in addition to an article on the experience of the poet and researcher Mubaraka Bint Al-Baraa by Tharaa Hani, and a dialogue with the poet Moeen Shalabiya.
In the section «Art. Tendon. Feather” Muhammad Al-Amri wrote about the artist Ibrahim Ghazaleh, and Hajjaj Salameh interviewed the plastic artist, Rajaa Ghali, and Diaa Hamed published an interview with the playwright Bousselham Al-Daif, and Zamzam Al-Sayed wrote about the artist Mona Wasef, “which is a milestone in drama and theater.” Farhan Bulbul touched on theater and music. Mahmoud Al-Ghitani dealt with the movie “The Wave”, and Mohamed Hussein Talbi stopped at the experience of the Algerian director Abdelaziz Talbi.
In the section “Under the Spotlight” readings and publications: “Realism in Young People’s Literature” by Soraya Abdel Badi, “Semiotics, Connotations and Their Poetic Interpretation” by Abrar Al-Agha, “The Phenomenon of Violence and Its Implications in the Arabic Novel” by Nadia Omar, and “Maya’s Novel… About Man” The World” by Shoaib Melhem, and reading in the short story “A Metaphor We Called Spring” by the storyteller Sarah Adly for Intisar Abbas, and “The Character in the Novel” by Laure Helm by Saeed Abidi.
The issue singled out a space for the short stories of a group of Arab writers: Adel Attia (this number is for my mother!), and Dr. Amani Muhammad Nasser, Abdel Alim Haris (Contact…), Khaled Madi (The Weddings of “Ghazl Al Banat”), and Rafaat Atfa (Reputation), a translated story.
The issue included a set of fixed articles.
