“Sham” wins the “Arab Reading Challenge”… and causes admiration and division

The Syrian girl, Sham Al-Bakour, caught the eye at the closing ceremony, in which the results of the “Champions of the Challenge” contest were announced in Arabic reading, at the Opera House in Dubai, under the auspices and presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Sham appeared at the closing ceremony wearing the Syrian flag adopted by the regime, and the official media in Damascus welcomed the news, considering it a victory for Syria.
Sham, 7 years old, who has read more than 100 books, as she said, received the first prize after winning the title among 22.27 million participants, which is a record number of participants in the history of the competition.
