The Crown Prince reviewed the military cooperation with the commander of the Pakistani army
The session of official talks held by Prince Muhammad bin Salman, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia, with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, on Saturday, witnessed a review of bilateral relations between Riyadh and Baghdad and areas of joint cooperation, in addition to exchanging views on a number of issues, contributing to To support and enhance security and stability in the region. The Saudi Crown Prince received the Iraqi Prime Minister at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Saturday evening.
The session of official talks between the Saudi Crown Prince and the Iraqi Prime Minister was attended by Prince Abdullah bin Bandar, Minister of the Saudi National Guard, Prince Khalid bin Salman, Saudi Deputy Minister of Defense, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Saudi Foreign Minister, and Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, Saudi Minister of Trade (accompanying minister). The head of the Saudi intelligence, Khaled Al-Humaidan, and the Saudi ambassador to Iraq, Abdul Aziz Al-Shammari.
On the Iraqi side, Foreign Minister Dr. Fuad Hussein, National Intelligence Agency Undersecretary Majid Ali Hussein, Director of the Prime Minister’s Special Office Ahmed Najati, and Adviser to the Prime Minister for Protocol Affairs Hassanein Rashid Al-Sheikh attended.
In another matter, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Commander of the Pakistani Army, received Lieutenant General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the Peace Palace in Jeddah on Sunday. During the reception, they reviewed bilateral relations, especially in the military fields, and opportunities to develop them, in addition to a number of issues of common interest. And in implementation of the order of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Crown Prince awarded the commander of the Pakistani army the King Abdul Aziz Medal of Excellent Class.
This is in appreciation of his distinguished efforts in consolidating and strengthening bonds of friendship and joint cooperation and developing Saudi-Pakistani relations.

The meeting was attended by the Commander of the Pakistani Army, Prince Khalid bin Salman, Saudi Chief of General Staff Lieutenant-General Fayyad Al-Ruwaili, Saudi Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Dr. Khalid Al-Bayari, Director General of the Saudi Defense Minister’s Office Dr. Hisham Al-Sheikh, and Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Al-Malki.
On the Pakistani side, the ambassador to the Kingdom, Amir Khurram Rathore, the Secretary of the Commander of the Special Army, Major General Muhammad Irfan, and the Pakistani military attache, Brigadier General Muhammad Asim, were present.
In a related context, Prince Khalid bin Salman met with a deputy later yesterday, the commander of the Pakistani army. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the defense and military field, and ways to enhance it within the framework of the close historical relations that unite the Kingdom and Pakistan, in addition to discussing a number of issues of common interest.
The meeting was attended by the director of the office of the Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Hisham bin Saif, and the Saudi military attache in Pakistan, Major General Awad Al-Zahrani.
