    Orucun sağlık üzerinde birçok etkisi olduğu bilinirken, Filistin Nablus Üniversite Hastanesi’ndeki araştırmacılar tarafından yürütülen yeni bir çalışmada, orucun böbrekler üzerinde herhangi bir olumsuz etkisi gözlenmedi.

    Şarku’l Avsat’ın Transplantation Proceedings dergisinden aktardığı habere gore, daha önce oruç tutmanın dehidrasyon nedeniyle kandaki kreatinin düzeylerinde artışa yol açtığına inanılıyordu.

    Bu, böbrek fonksiyonunda bir kusur olduğu anlamına geliyor. Ancak Nablus University Hastanesi’nden araştırmacıların yürüttüğü çalışmada, böyle olmadığı görüldü.

    Çalışmada, rastgele iki gruba ayrılan 58 sağlıklı kişi takip edildi.

    Birinci group, şafaktan gün batımına kadar 2 ila 3 liter sıvı içti. İkinci kontrol grubu ise normal şekilde suyunu içti. Katılımcıların böbrek fonksiyonları Ramazan ayı öncesi, sırası ve sonrasında ölçüldü.

    Araştırmacılar, açlığın kandaki creatinine veya ürede kalıcı bir artışla ilişkili olmadığını gördü.

    Çalışmada, ‘Ramazan orucu sağlıklı insanların böbrek sistemini etkilemez, ancak gece oruçlu olunmayan saatlerde sıvı alımı artırılmalıdır’ sonucuna varıldı.

    Şarku’l Avsat’a konuşan, Mısır Sağlık Bakanlığı Danışmanı Halid Feki, “Çalışma sonuçları sağlıklı kişiler içindir, bobrek hastalarını kapsamaz” şeklinde bi yorumda bulundu.

    Feki, “Bu hastalara sürekli sıvı ihtiyaçları nedeniyle oruç tutmamaları tavsiye edilir, ancak oruçta ısrar etmeleri halinde, ana tavsiyemiz şafağa kadar daha fazla sıvı almalarıdır” dedi.

    Feki ayrıca, “Hastanın dikkate alması gereken uyarı işaretleri var ve fark edildiklerinde oruç tutulmamalıdır. Bunlar arasında vücut veya ayaklarda şişlik, mide bulantısı veya kusma, şeker veya tansiyonda ciddi bir düşüş ve normalden daha az idrar yer alıyor” diye ekledi.
