Leclerc beats Verstappen in opening practice

The events accompanying the Formula 1 Saudi Prize, which kicked off yesterday, at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, witnessed a great turnout, amid anticipation of the start of the races today and tomorrow (Sunday).

And the Saudi Motorsports Company revealed yesterday that the schedule for the events and activities of the Saudi Grand Prix for “Formula 1”, which is currently taking place at the Jeddah Corniche circuit, is proceeding according to the schedule prepared for it without any change, and that all security measures for the safety of participants, contestants and visitors have been taken. To hold this race in advance is taking place as usual.

An informed source said that Stefano Domenicali, CEO of the Formula 1 World Championship, told drivers and team leaders yesterday (Friday) that the Saudi Grand Prix would go ahead despite the hostile operation that targeted an Aramco petroleum products distribution station in Jeddah.

In the testing phase, Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc beat world champion Max Verstappen and Red Bull’s driver in the opening practice session of the Saudi Grand Prix in Jeddah. The driver, from Monaco, completed the 6.1 km Jeddah Corniche circuit in one minute 30.772 seconds.
