When he came to Saudi Arabia, all he had in his mind was to watch the Kaaba and perform the Hajj without hindrance, to stop this anguish within him, which intensified with his touch of care, services and how to welcome the guests of Rahman.
Ahmed Niazi, aged 60, had come from Iran, dreaming of fulfilling his obligatory duty, but the disease invaded him without mercy, leaving in himself some sadness and a lot of hope in the Saudi medical cadres and advanced health services, to overcome the health malaise to complete his journey in Better.
Niazi told Asharq Al-Awsat: “I came from my country with a full desire to complete the fifth pillar of Islam and perform the Hajj, and I fell ill upon my arrival in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, to be transferred to Al-Noor Specialist Hospital in Makkah and to provide me with integrated health care, which made me feel great care and attention. Which pilgrims find from all relevant sectors in Saudi Arabia, starting with the welcome and the warm reception since they set foot on the territory of the Kingdom, up to the generous care for them inside the country.
Niazi said that the pilgrimage was a dream he had for many years, to be realized after patience and hardship, but the health illness that he suffered almost frustrated his hopes of achieving the dream of Hajj, to the extent that he said, indicating that what he touched of high health capabilities contributed to dispelling all his fears and restoring his full health. As soon as he was discharged from the hospital and the Hajj rituals began.
The 60-year-old, who is visiting Saudi Arabia for the first time, indicated that he did not expect this great interest in the pilgrims and the system of integrated services provided to them to take care of them, and to overcome their difficulties in advance of the medical team and all the Hajj workers.
And he indicated that the medical team of the campaign visited him yesterday and conveyed their appreciation for the health care provided to pilgrims, wishing that he would enjoy the completion of the obligatory rituals and return to his country, conveying what he touched of the great capabilities harnessed to all that concerns pilgrims.
Al-Noor Specialized Hospital received 4 Iranian patients in the past two days, who were provided with health care, before leaving two, while the remaining two cases, including Niazi, continue to receive treatment and are awaiting their departure after completing all health procedures.
The Ministry of Health had earlier rescued an Iranian pilgrim from the angina that attacked him while he was on his way to the Great Mosque of Mecca to perform prayers. The medical team performed an urgent diagnostic catheterization, which showed a blockage in the heart artery, and provided him with treatment and health care.
