The great Egyptian artist, Hussein Fahmy, head of the Cairo Film Festival, said that the Red Sea Festival has created a great state of artistic and cultural movement in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expressing in a statement on Monday his happiness at re-screening the restored version of the movie “Khali Balak by Zozo” to celebrate the half-year anniversary of the festival. A century since it was produced, and it was shown as part of the “Treasures of the Red Sea” program.
Fahmy watched the restored version of the film, which he starred with the star Souad Hosni, at the Beach Cinema as part of the activities of the second session of the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, and it was received by Mohamed Al-Turki, CEO of the Red Sea International Film Festival Foundation.
Fahmy expressed his happiness with the feelings of friendliness and love that the Saudi people have for everything Egyptian, praising the depth and strength of the relations between the two peoples and the two countries. In addition to Fahmy, the actress Yousra, the artist Lebleba and the director Enas El-Degheidy attended the screening of the film written by Salah Jahin, directed by Hassan El-Imam, and co-starring Tahia Carioca, Samir Ghanem and Shafiq Jalal.
