Lebanese Bassem Mughniyeh: I am not planning for the role, instinct is driving my performance

The series “To Death”, in its second part, is one of the most important TV shows during the current Ramadan season. The harmony of the actors’ performance, with the suspense-woven script, gave it a dramatic glow. The first part of this Lebanese production was chosen by the “Netflix” platform for its presentation.

Once again, Bassem Mughniyeh, one of the series’ heroes, presents a remarkable performance; It walks between the points carefully professional, and unleashed to represent him. Although he portrayed the character of Omar for the second time, he knew how to color it with an unrepetitive performance.

When asked about this, he told Asharq Al-Awsat: “There is no doubt that I am fortunate to have this impression. I’m one of those actors who doesn’t plan on the role. Instinct is what guides me in my performance. Whoever plans to seek help from feelings, movements and body language that he did before. However, since I am an actor by nature, new energies come out of me. I never thought how I should seize this scene or that, or what word I must pronounce in order to succeed, so I leave it to my instinct to lead and follow my sense.”
