Al-Sudani directs the establishment of a production line for the military “Hummer”.

On Saturday, the Iraqi Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani, launched the “Sixth Victory Leaders” campaign to repair and maintain the armored vehicles, vehicles and machinery of the ministry’s formations.

A statement issued by Al-Sudani’s office stated that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces “directed the completion of the requirements for establishing a production line for the wheel (Hummer).” It is the American military vehicle that entered service in the Iraqi army and security forces after the American occupation of Iraq in 2003, and the process of equipping the Iraqi forces with American military equipment and machinery shifted after this date, after Iraq relied on Russian equipment and mechanisms and other Eastern European countries to equip its military forces .

The statement added, “Al-Sudani viewed the exhibition, which included models of the mechanisms, equipment, and vehicles that were included in the repair campaign, and followed the annual production capacity of the factories. He also toured the various military units of all kinds; To monitor the level of readiness, sustainability, and readiness of the military formations.

The statement quoted Al-Sudani as stressing “the importance of the sustainability of work and the distinguished efforts in the repair plants, and the provision of requirements that contribute to raising their production capabilities.”

Al-Sudani directed “to complete the requirements for establishing a production line for the wheel (Hummer), according to the model that was manufactured. He also ordered that the model be prepared immediately for the military units to find out its negatives and positives, and to correct errors after practice during the manufacturing campaign.”

The campaign includes the repair and maintenance of large numbers of tanks, armored vehicles, vehicles, quad bikes, and armed, specialized, service and technical vehicles.

Last Thursday, the specialized military website “Global Fire Power” published a list of the most powerful armies in the world for the year 2023, and the Iraqi army came fourth in the ranking of the armies of Arab countries and the 45th in the world. The site is based on more than 60 individual and collective factors, ranging from the variety of weapons, the number of men available, geographical location and financial strength.

On the other hand, the Security Media Cell announced, on Saturday, the killing of 10 terrorists in 3 operations in which Suqur al-Jaw and the Counter-Terrorism Service participated, during the past 24 hours, in Diyala Governorate, east of the country.

The cell said in a statement: “The security forces of all kinds continued to maintain pressure on the terrorist elements, according to an elaborate plan that caused them losses in lives and destroyed their hideouts.”

The “Saqr Al-Rafidain” exercise, which was carried out by the Anti-Terrorism Service, in the presence of Al-Sudani on Friday (Iraqi Prime Minister)

She added, “The Air Hawks launched a successful air strike yesterday (Friday) in the Hamrin mountain range, killing 4 terrorists, and the Anti-Terrorism Service managed to kill 3 terrorists, while the Iraqi Air Force succeeded in launching another air strike complementing yesterday’s efforts.” In the Diyala sector – the Hamrin Mountains, which resulted in the destruction of a number of dens and the killing of 3 terrorists.

Military information often indicates the presence of some ISIS elements in the rugged areas and the Hamrin mountain range in Diyala province, and they are also found in the woods and valleys linking the provinces of Diyala, Kirkuk and Salah al-Din, and the elements of the organization from time to time exploit some security gaps to launch attacks on some of them.
