The Saudi youth team continued its victorious journey in the AFC Champions League, and achieved a valuable victory against its Emirati counterpart Al-Jazira with two goals without a response, in the last round of the group stage, to achieve an unprecedented record for it in terms of points, after it reached 16 points.
Al Shabab advanced first through striker John Marie in the 69th minute, before Brazilian Paulinho boosted Al Shabab’s lead with a second goal a few minutes before the end of the match, to confirm the capital team’s eligibility to cross into the round of 16.
Al Shabab had secured qualification and lead in the second group before the start of the current and final round of competitions, after winning by a clean six against Mumbai City, India, in the last round.
