On Monday evening, Al-Arabiya channel celebrated the 20th anniversary of its founding, during a ceremony held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, announcing on this occasion the launch of its “Al-Arabiya FM” radio station.
Walid Al Ibrahim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the MBC Group, reviewed during the ceremony the march of Al Arabiya over the past two decades, stressing the channel’s endeavor to redouble efforts to be up to new challenges, and in line with the developmental leap of Saudi Arabia and its pivotal position.
He stressed that the project to launch the channel is a Saudi national project after the emergence of foreign Arabic-speaking channels, which operate according to certain agendas, and were taking negative aspects towards Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, indicating that the Saudi voice of moderation must remain present in front of the false media, as Al-Arabiya went steadily and defended Confidently about its right in front of the attack of the outside media.
For his part, Mamdouh Al-Muhaini, director of Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath channel, said: “Al-Arabiya entered the political and media scene, and made a major transformation during that, and its journalistic cadres were able to absorb the changes over the years.” with her.
