The large theatrical performance “Trehal” in the Al-Thalima neighborhood of Diriyah Governorate witnessed an attendance of more than 10,000 spectators, over a period of 18 days, and was organized by the Saudi Ministry of Culture.
The show, which is the largest in the history of the Kingdom, aims to celebrate Saudi culture and its extended dimensions in the history of the Arabian Peninsula, by presenting performances designed according to the highest international standards.
The last show of “Terhal” witnessed a great public interaction with the performance of the troupe, which consisted of promising Saudi performers and a group of distinguished international artists. A performance scene mixed with the melodies of oriental and international music.
The events of the play dealt with several characters; The first is “Saad”, the dreamy, talented and ambitious Saudi youth who seeks to achieve his dreams, and the “grandfather” who transmits his experiences to his grandson “Saad” through the book “Our Legacy”, and “The Dream”, which is a knight representing the opportunity of life. As for “The Wind”; She is a fictional main character who embodies the challenges facing “Saad”, while the “calligrapher” decorates the stage with the most beautiful forms of Arabic calligraphy, in addition to the role of the troupe that presents performances accompanying the characters.
This show comes within the Ministry’s efforts to make culture a way of life, celebrate the Saudi cultural identity, and discover and empower national talents.
