Vice President Dina Boluarte assumes the presidency of Peru after Castillo’s arrest

The vice-president of Peru, Dina Boluarte, assumed the presidency of the country at this fourth fair (7). A posse aconteceu após o ex-mandatário, Pedro Castillo, made a frustrated coup attempt and suffered impeachment.

During the session in the National Congress, the politician swore to the Constitution and received the decree. She was chosen together with Castillo, in 2021.
