The Minister of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha, affirmed, in an interview with CNN this quarter-feira (22), which at the current tax rate of 13.75% is “disproportionate”.
“The expectation is that there can be a clear signal that we will enter a suit of curfew of the legal tax in the country,” said Padilha.
“We hope that the Central Bank (BC) will pursue all the time the four objectives set out in the law: promote full employment, smooth the economic flutuação and guarantee the effectiveness of the financial system and the economic stability of the country.”
According to the minister, “the government reinforces the combination between fiscal and social responsibility”.
When questioned, Padilha did not confirm the names that must be indicated by the government to replace two BC directors whose mandates will end in February.
“I prefer to wait. I even suggested to President Lula (PT) and to the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, that the names be sent to the Congress when the Senate Economic Affairs Committee is ready to do Saturday”, he concluded.
