In the collective press at this sixth fair (26), the ministers Rui Costa, of the Civil House, and Alexandre Padilha, of Institutional Relations, said that the government should continue negotiating with the Congress on the final text of the MP of the two ministries, and that The proposed modifications will not prevent the performance of two ministers.
Rui Costa says that the text approved by the congressional committee preserves the original concept of the MP in two major parts, with some exceptions. “The government will continue working so that in other legislative spaces that the MP will still process, we can resume the original concept at points that were modified”, he affirmed.
The minister cited as an example the withdrawal of the Rural Environmental Cadastro (CAR) of the attributes of the Ministry of the Environment.
Padilha said that all of the team of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) are convinced that the changes made in the text would not impede the implementation of the government program or the actions of the ministers.
“This is not the first time, and it will not be the last time, that a MP directed by a government has come to move to the National Congress”, says Padilha. “The sustainability agenda will continue to be central to the government, regardless of the final text [da MP].”
He reinforced that the dialogue with the National Congress and as the rapporteur, in search of “improving” the text, will continue until final approval. “The report has made a lot of progress, it does not end with no ministry, with no organ. The government does not throw away the possibility of implementing its political agenda”, falou Padilha.
He still added that there is no intention of taking any judicial measure on the part of the government while the legislative process is underway. “The government respects the relationship and the role of the National Congress. A solution is for politics, not dialogue, respecting the legislative process.”
